Admission Schedule

Virtual University of Pakistan offers admission twice in an academic year namely spring in the month of January/February and fall in the month of August/September each year.


Admission Procedure

A candidate (Pakistani National) can obtain admission application form either from Virtual Campus or from VU website http://www.vu.edu.pk and apply for admission (subject to eligibility criteria) by submitting filled admission form with requisite documents including fee paid challan/Demand Draft (in original) to the nearest Virtual Campus or by mailing at Registrars’ Office (Admissions), Virtual University of Pakistan M.A. Jinnah Campus, Defence Road, Off Raiwind Road, Lahore. Upon receipt of filled admission application form at Registrar’s office, it is processed after necessary verification subject to admission eligibility criteria and candidate is intimated firstly through an email (if provided in admission application form). Secondly, via an email to his/her campus (incase campus based student) and finally, by mailing a hard copy admission offer letter and VU information material at his/her mailing address. A list of admitted candidates is also published and updated during admission session at VU website http://www.vu.edu.pk under admission link.

2. Admission of Foreign/Dual National (Residing Abroad)

An undertaking is to be uploaded along with Foreign National students for not applying of Visa.
Foreign/Dual Nationality holder candidate residing abroad allowed to study with Virtual University of Pakistan (provided can understand Pakistan’s National Language ‘Urdu’) is  required to provide following documents along with their admission application form; complete in all respect, to the University.
  • One attested copy of Proof of Nationality
  • Declaration that he /she will not demand any letter from the University for the Issuance of Pakistan visa. However, during visit to Pakistan, if any he/she will appear for examination in the university designated exam center only.
On receipt of above-mentioned documents and after due verification, candidate is intimated firstly through an email (if provided in admission application form) and finally, by mailing a hard copy of admission offer letter and other information material at his/her mailing address. General Instructions:
  • Candidates can apply Online only through VU website (Printed form will not be accepted).
  • Applicants may purchase Prospectus for Spring 2020 from any Virtual Campus, be sure the scratch code on the prospectus is INTACT. Old prospectuses will not be usable.
  • If applicant buy the prospectus Spring 2020, then use prospectus serial number and scratch code. The System will accept Admission Application(s) only with prospectus serial number and scratch code.
  • In case, applicant is unable to purchase prospectus, he/she must pay a voucher of Rs. 500/- and upload its paid copy for Admission Form submission.
  • Soft/E-copy of Prospectus (Spring 2020) is available on VU website https://www.vu.edu.pk/prospectus/default.aspx .
  • Deficiency Semester will not be offered.
  • Merit will be observed for all study programs.

For Biological Study Programs

The Merit of biological sciences programs will be determined city wise due to the available Laboratories. The candidate(s) will select any one city from the following for merit competition and admission. Moreover, the candidates have an option to apply separately for more than one city by filling new admission form. Detail of the cities is as under:

Note: Once a student is selected for admission from a particular city thereafter, he/she has to use lab of the same city for entire duration of his/her study program and the University will not allow to change the Lab.

Students can apply only in designated city/region. Each city will have its own merit. If any student wants to apply for more than one city, he/she must apply separately. They will not allow to go for practical other than merit city after admission.
